The last couple weeks we have been completing a few more boat projects such as replacing thermostat on fridge and working on a very finicky generator. Some of the wire connections appeared to be bad and we also replaced the breaker. The highlight was Kary, Josh, Bella and Campbell coming for Thanksgiving! We had an awesome time with them and we were really happy to show them some of our favorite places. They arrived on Monday and took the ferry from St. Thomas to St. John and we picked them up in Cruz Bay and then headed over to Maho Bay for the night.
On Tuesday, we woke up to a beautiful rainbow and then had an excellent sail over to Great Harbour Jost Van Dyke although that was our only sail of the trip. Beautiful sunshine but no wind! We all hiked over to White Bay and spent the day at Soggy Dollar and ate a late lunch at Hendo’s before heading back by taxi! What a taxi ride- just leave the door open- ha ha. The evening was spent at Foxy’s where we were all entertained by a 4 year old little boy- especially Karry- bye bye!
Wednesday we headed to beautiful Guana Island and swam and paddleboarded while we were musically entertained while sitting on the bow by the boat next door.
Thursday morning we all snorkeled Monkey Point and then motored to the Bight on Norman Island to jump off the famous Willy T! We all made the jump! In the evening, we had a great dinner at Pirates Bight! Josh was the entertainment then with his jokes about Sophia, Chicago girl and “Look! I’m a crayon!
Friday morning we all snorkeled the Indians! The water was crystal clear and like a lake! Couldn’t get better conditions than that! We then headed off to Salt Pond Bay on St. John and again relaxed the afternoon away paddle boarding and floating.
Saturday morning we hiked to Ram’s head and then we were off to Christmas Cove for one last round of snorkeling and Pizza Pi!
Kevin and I were so happy to be able to spend time with everyone and show them this beautiful place and also give them a taste of what our life is like on Counting Stars! We all created some wonderful memories.
