Highbourne Cay and Norman's Cay... In the Exumas now!!!

December 3rd-December 5th, 2021

We left Hoffman's Cay at the crack of dawn during high tide and made it out the cut. Spent a long day motorsailing past Nassau on to Highbourne Cay. The last two hours we sailed along at 8 knots with the motors off as the sun set. What an amazing sail! Pulled in at dark but we anchored without mishap and went to bed. So happy to be in the Exumas! We decided to splurge and have lunch at Highbourne Cay Marina's restaurant known as Xuma and we are so glad we did! I had a mango mojito and Kevin's burger was the best he ever had! My mahi sandwich ranked up there as well! One of the most expensive lunches we ever had but the best lunch in the Bahamas!! Gorgeous setting and really good fresh food! Sharks were at the marina and they are fun to watch.

We then left and headed to the anchorage on the West side of Norman's Cay! Great for easterlies! We walked the entire beach and paddleboarded. We also began to notice our watermaker was having issues. It was not making as much water as it should...Hmmm
